Updating admins' and signatories' details

As an admin or signatory, you can access your Admins & Signatories list and update the details of an administrator of your company. This page is visible by the person responsible for managing the scheme (Administrators or Advisers).

If you are an admin or signatory, you can access your personal details in the Profile details tab, which can be accessed through the Menu.

Use the instructions below to update an administration account:

1 - Sign in to your account and go to Company Details

2 - Select Admins

The next screen will let you select the View button next to the administrator you wish to update.

Clicking on this View button will allow you to view the Update details page for that administrator.

3 - Update fields

After clicking on Update details, the following form can be filled out.

We strongly recommend that you complete all fields.

Press the blue Update button to save the admin or signatory details.

Basic details

The first few fields are for the basic details of the administrator. Name, Email, DOB and Home Address. These details can be edited by both the admin and the employee. 

API Key

Every admin or signatory in the scheme is provided with a Smart Pension API key. This key provides access to the Smart Pension account for that administrator via a third party application (payroll or HR for example). Signatories and admins can access all records for their company.

If you are the admin or adviser for this account you can add the key from your profile page into a supported payroll application. See the Payroll Support page for more details. This Key cannot be edited.

Promoting and demoting Admins and Signatories

From the list of your Admins and Signatories you can manage their permissions promoting or demoting them to the role of a signatory or admin.

There are 4 actions you can perform:

  • Promote an admin to the role of signatory.
  • Demote a signatory to the role of admin.
  • Replace a signatory with an admin and vice-versa.
  • Delete an admin.

If promote/demote/replace signatories, you must re-sign your Participation Agreement.

Promoting and demoting admins and signatories

Use the instructions below to manage your admins and signatories permissions.

1 - Sign in to your account and go to Company Details

2 - Select Admins

The next screen will let you select the manage option next to the amind/signatory you want to promote/demote

Furthermore, admins can be deleted.

If you want to replace a signatory with an admin or vice-versa, you have to select the admin/signatory you wish to replace within the form that will be displayed after pressing on 'Replace'
