Why have I received more than one annual pension statement?

If you have more than one account with us then you will have received a statement for each of them. This may be due to leaving employment and then returning to work for the same employer. Or you may have been employed by multiple employers who use Smart Pension as a pension provider.

My personal details are incorrect, what should I do?

It's very important that we have up to date personal details recorded on your account. You can update them on our website or the Smart Pension app. Please ensure that you also inform your employer of your updated details.

What should I do if I think my annual pension statement is incorrect?

Remember, this statement will not include any contributions or transfers invested after 30 June 2018. These payments will be included in next year’s statement.

If you think that there is any incorrect information in your statement, please email employee@smartpension.co.uk

I’m an ex GenLife member, are my GenLife funds included in the statement?

Yes, your funds previously held with GenLife are included in the total amount of money in your pension plan on 30 June 2017. You can view your GenLife transfer value by signing into your account, select Contributions and then the Transfers tab.

Does my annual statement show my unit holdings?

We don’t currently show details of your unit holdings. We plan to introduce this feature for your next statement, which will cover the period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.

Where can I see my charges?

We take a percentage of your investments each month as a charge for managing and investing your pension - this is the annual management charge (AMC). You can find more information about the AMC in your investment guide. To download it, sign into your account, select Funds and then Investment help.

If there are any additional monthly member charges applied to your account, you can find them in the Contributions section.

Does my annual pension statement show my state pension amount?

We don’t show any state pension you might be entitled to in your annual statement. You can check your state pension age and what your state pension might be worth by visiting www.gov.uk/check-state-pension.
