The Smart Pension Alexa skill gives you real-time updates about your Smart Pension account, allowing you to manage your pension without having to go online.

How do I set up Alexa to work with my Smart Pension account?

You’ll need one of Amazon’s Echo devices or the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet before you can add the Smart Pension skill to Alexa.

When you first open the Smart Pension skill, it will prompt you to add your Smart Pension account details. Once you've done this, you’re ready to go. You can find out more through our Where to find your account details article.

If you have an Echo Spot or Echo Show, you can ask Alexa to play you an introductory video to show you how your Smart Pension account works.

What questions can I ask Alexa?

"Alexa, what's my summary?"

Hear how much you and your employer have contributed toward your pension scheme, how much you put in last month, and if you're missing out on a matched contribution offered by your employer.

"Alexa, how are my investments doing?"

Hear a quarterly investment report on your pension’s performance.

"Alexa, what's my pension worth?"

Alexa will tell you the total amount in your pension pot, including your contributions and your employer’s contributions.

"Alexa, update my contribution percentage to [number] percent"

Alexa will ask you to confirm your date of birth and your new contribution percentage. She'll then ask for confirmation. Once you've changed your contribution percentage, Alexa will send both you and your employer a confirmation email.
